Got a little $ that I can spend on the Uly. If I opt for a muffler, these are my options.

Drummer $400+muffler(I don't want to cut my brand new muffler 'til I'm sure I like it)
Spec Ops $250+muffler
Jardine $250-400ish(depending on muffler)

I'm not looking for more performance. If I get more, thats OK. I wouldn't mind getting a smoother transition throughout the RPM range and I don't want a loud harley sound. Plug-n-play is also a good thing.

This, for me at least, would be more about a good sound to match the grunt of this beast.

Not sure I'll tell you anything you don't already know, but I'll say that I LOVE my Drummer. I had American Sport Bike remap my ECM, so I'm personally not sure about plug-n-play (without modifying the ECM), although others more knowledgeable than myself will attest to it being just fine. Yes, it's louder, smoother, and IMHO worth the money. Kevin makes a high quality product. The only thing I've noticed is a bit more decel popping when the engine is cold. Just my 2 cents.

I noticed that the Spec Ops still uses the valve and the Drummer doesn't. Does this make a difference?

Chris, have you read the exhaust shootout? If not go to American Sport Bike and you can find it for download. True the Spec Ops retains the stock valve. I don't have one, but I would assume the biggest difference is not having to modify/disconnect the servo thus no check engine light.

Go with the econo drummer (if still available)
great sound,(just a bit too loud for me and the local constabulary) keeps the exhaust valve and looks better than the stocker.

It is no longer made by Drummer. From my understanding the Drummer econo was very similar in sound and appearance to the Spec Ops. But I have not owned either one of those two.
