My winter project is finally complete. I’ve may have gone a little overboard, adding A LOT to my Uly all at once. Here are just a few observations from the first 150ish miles I did this morning since the transformation: -Drummer + American Sport Bike Remap + Open Airbox + K&N = DIFFERENT BIKE. I know I’m not the first to say this, but its true. All of the good things you read here about Kevin’s Drummer and Al’s maps are not exaggeratons. Starting with the Drummer, its looks and sounds awesome, so thanks to Kevin for such a quality product. The rest came from American Sport Bike and perhaps the most noticeable difference is the overall drivability at low RPMs, which was fairly shaky stock. The high vibes, lurching, and general awkwardness at low speeds are all but gone. It also pulls harder and SMOOTHER than ever before. -CRG Shorty Levers: Very nice quality and easy install. Clutch pull is much easier and smoother (although I don’t really understand why) and the adjustability just makes things easier. This is the first time I’ve use short levers, and must say I really like the overall feel. As nice as these things are, they’re expensive….maybe too expensive. -Aprilla Tuono Mirrors: There’s lots of info about these so I’ll keep it short. I like them; they look better with the bike (IMHO) and vibrate slightly less. Thumbs up. -HVMP Bar End Weights: A no-brainer. They help with high frequency vibes and will protect the bars should the bike go down. Definitely recommended. -Drummer Catch Can: High quality and perfect fit and function. In mounting the catch can, I also re-routed the breathers, you have to, which probably also helps horsepower to some degree (I’m guessing small). I’ve not ridden far enough to have to empty it yet, but it can’t hurt having it. -Dark Horse Moto Sliders: Another no-brainer IMHO. I have the powder coated black stealth sliders (race stand ready on the back). They look awesome, protect the bike, install in seconds, and are very high quality. -ZG Tinted Touring Screen: I’ve had this for a while and mostly like it. The problem is wind noise. Good for winter to keep the wind off my chest, but it comes off in the warmer months. Again, just some quick observations from limited riding with this new stuff. Thanks again to Kevin Drumm, Skully, and Al Lighton for such quality products, and to everyone here on the Badweb who share info and make this stuff possible. | ||

Slowride, this is the best I can do for now...I've tetris-ed everything back into the garage. I'll try to get another from further away soon. Hi, Josh, I had the same issue with my Ulysses. My mounting kit will help with the higher frequency noises caused by turbulence around the 'lid. Not trying to sell you something but I suffer from bad tinnitus and I spent alot of time finding the right position for the screen otherwise anything other than a short journey becomes agony! | ||

Do the mirrors mount right up (plug-n-play)? Is the Drummer too loud? I like the sound of loud pipes but not sure if I would want to ride with them all of the time if it's too loud. | ||

Yes, the mirrors are plug-n-play. Takes about 3 minutes. The drummer is loud, but a good, deep-rumble loud IMO. Its not "blatty" like my dad's Harley. I love it, though I did put my earplugs back in about half way into a ride today. | ||

My riding buddies have stock mufflers(BMW, KTM, Appralia). I don't want them to not invite me because my loud bike would give them a headache. | ||

Chris, Do your panties all match the same too? I hate for you to be different or ride a bike that is different. LoL you did buy a Buell. How about you do what YOU want not what your friends may think...... I just had to man, it was too easy..... also I just finished watching Carlos Mencia. HAAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAAHh | ||

ULY1080-is that a Lowrance xog gps and if yes what did you use for mount? Could you post a picure of the mount? Thanks Ishai | ||

Ishai, It's a Garmin Nuvi 360 that I already owned (not designed for motorcycles therefore not waterproof). The mount is just a RAM motorcycle mount specific for that model. I'll try to get some pics up soon. | ||
