Well, my next addition is a radar detector... I'm sure it'll save $ in the long run...
How have ya'll mounted yours? I have an autocom that I'll hook it into for audio.
Thanks again!

I've got a Beltronics. I use a TechMounts (www.techmounts.com) with a flat mount (http://www.techmounts.com/products/index.php?page_ function=detail&product_id=59). It comes with velcro for attachment. I mount it on the left side and wrap all the extra cord around the center bar. You gotta' crank the brightness and volume all the way up to notice it, but it works. I tried an earplug once, but it was so loud it nearly blew my eardrums out!

Here's the but: But, the detector suddently stopped detecting RADAR. The last day I used it was a very cold day. Could it have been the cold? Also, I wonder if the major shaking caused it to malfunction. The unit still operates, but it detects no RADAR now, and resetting doesn't work. Any thoughts?

After 2 tickets on my Uly, I knew I needed one, but now I'm sort of back to square one.

Here's a shot of my detector in faster times...this is out in rural Maryland near Whites Ferry. No cops on this road. Alas, I killed a deer on this bike yesterday, so I have no need for detecting RADAR for awhile.
