You know that 250 is the only bike that I have ever owned that I sold it for what I paid for it. Ten years and no loss in value, only regret was that it wasnt a 450, I never would have let it leave the garage if it was.

Well, if the shoe fits : )

I just ordered aggressive knobbies for it... two tires, two tubes, one double thick, $102 to my doorstep.

I have A DRZ400s and an 07 Uly. When I wanna put miles on and/or take the wife with me I ride the Uly. If I'm goin on a rip through rough or slippery terrain I take the DRZ. You can NEVER have too many bikes.

Crowdog,
My off road skills are as poor as my on road skills so the KLR exceeds my abilities in every way. As far as what I consider to be "THE" motorcycle is without question, the XR-750! Life would not be the same knowing that I couldn't share the planet with at least one.

Davo,
I think you are just being modest about your riding skills, and I have to agree with you on the XR 750 that is one sweeet bike, a good friend of mine has one that sits in his shop and it is mint! boy I would love to take that thing out for a long weekend, unfortunately he won't let me or anyone else even take it down the street.

I have owned at least 20 different bikes over the years and each one was fun, yes even the KLR and I have to credit that bike along with my two nephews who each ride KLR's for getting me back on two wheels and ultimately on a Uly, so I guess now that the dust has cleared the KLR was a great bike!
