I just installed a Drummer, but my ECM is still out being remapped at American Sport Bike. When I turn the key, power is obviously still supplied to the bike, so can I start it with no ECM...for just a second to hear it...please!?? For the record, I'm fairly certain that isn't a good idea, but I'm seeking other opinions. Criticizing my ignorance is also forgivable in this case, so have at it. Thanks for any input. | ||

I could be wrong, but I believe you won't be able to start it. It will turn over from the starter, but that's it. Smokescreen | ||

Without an ECM your fuel injectors won't fire. The engine may spin, but it won't even attempt to start. | ||

clamp a playing card to the rear so it hits the spokes when you rotate the wheel. No, wait... that wont work either, no spokes. |
