I have enough miles on the Michelin Pilot Road2s that I thought you would like my opinion...its free...I am no Nicky Hayden, but I can see why he is suffering in MotoGP.. (as these tires are MotoGP inspired)??? These tires turn in so abruptly that it is hard to carve a good line. On the highway they are very sensitive to buffeting......This is my seventh set of tires on the ULY and they are worse than the Dunlop 616's....I don't believe I said that...I would trade them in for a set of Pirelli Syncs in a heartbeat...Newer ain't always better....

Wow. I have Michelin Pilot Roads (original version) on my S3 and like them a lot. I don't think I'll be trying the 2's on my Uly.

Glad I chose to test the Distanzias this season instead.

The original Pilot Roads are VASTLY different feeling than the PR2s...The originals turn very evenly and on the slow side...the PR2s go WHAP! kind of all at once... and they just feel skittish straight up. The Avon Storms/Azaros, and the Pirelli Syncs are my favorites. Not too many people pay $400 for tires and say they don't like them...This is going to be a long 6K-8K miles. It could be worse ..like Nicky Hayden having to put his life on the line all season with evil handling tires at 200+ mph.

Suck.

It'll be my luck that I won't be able to wear these out. : |

I have a set ready to strap on.

We'll see.

Stop fooling around and spoon on a set of Pirelli Diablo Stradas or standard Diablos (which have been replaced by the Rosso or something like that).

The Stradas blew ass. After they left me skidmarked at 1800 miles, I'll be DAMNED if I strap on another set.

I will NEVER buy another set of tires without a center tread wear indicator again.

I can't imagine the 2CTs having a much faster turn in profile than the Stradas. Those dumped into turns (while I caked my pants).

I loved the Road Attacks I had on the Uly, but I'm not a tire connoisseur. Does anyone else have an opinion of them?

I was just getting ready to splurge on line tonight a buy a set of Corsa III for the Uly and dump the Dunlop 616. Other than quick wear on the rear and higher price is there any reason not to buy the Corsa III?

I recently saw the Corsa IIIs for about the same price as the Syncs, but they seem too sticky/short lived for my typical Uly miles. I have a pair (OEM) on my Ducati Hypermotard, and really like them.

I love the Road 2CT on the rear of my 12Scg. I still have a Pilot Power on the front. NO issues what so ever. Hope it lasts forever. We'll see how it does at MBV.......

I've been running the Stradas with great success. Wonderful wear and plenty of stick (enough for me to drop a knee on Deal's Gap!).

Quick turn in is a BENEFIT, not a problem. I enjoy a tire that is more triangular in profile. Gives me lots of rubber on the road at heavy lean angles. I've never had an issue with them being unstable either. They work well for me.

Now...the Dumblop 616 were AWFUL tires. So, being a complete idiot, I bought a set of Dunlop 208s because they were cheap. GOD, what awful tires. The bike handles like a hay wagon. Turn in is horribly difficult and they stand up under trail braking. Just pitiful tires for the Ulysses.

Thank goodness I have a set of Stradas on my other rims to put on when I finally kill the Dunlops. I've even been doing random burnouts to cook the rear tire, I hate it that much.

Gawd, I hope the Road2's just don't like Ulys...I have a set on order for my S2. Maybe they'll like a tuber better : )
