This morning on my way to work I had a bit of an encounter with an old woman and her ancient Honda Civic. I was coming up from behind and moving left to overtake when next minute WHAM she pulls out in front of me..... So naturally I grab a fistful of front brakes and the front dives hard. I hit her on the right side breaking her tail light and by now I'm getting ready to test my (brand)new Alpinestars gloves on tarmac.... BUT that doesn't happen, I'm still up, by now I've taken her mirror off as well and I'm still up!!! I AM SO IMPRESSED WITH THIS BIKE!!! EVERYTHING worked so well, the brakes, the (cold) tyres and most of all, that fully adjustable Showa suspension. Damage?? The right hand lever cover popped out, not broken. The frame puck took the brunt of it all (will need replacing) and also did the damage to the car, otherwise, NOTHING. These are pretty strong machines and I'm suitably impressed with the package. Naked bikes rule, I'd hate to think what a new fairing would cost because I would need one now. Cheers J |

glad to see you faired the situation, could have been worse. been a while since i was there so i don't even remember what the traffic was like back then. i was over there back in 78 on the uss lasalle(was the only white ship in the fleet besides the hospital ship) used to go to the suke there while in town and pick up gold for a cheap price. wish i had the foresight to buy more. had a lot of good times over there. shame it's not the same anymore. |
