I have seen re-routing the oil breather as a recommended/desirable mod. However, I can't find out why I should do it or what it involves. Can anyone explain why I should do it and what it involves please? Photos would be good too! Thanks!

It stops spitting waste oil back into the air intake. They reckon it slightly increases power as well as tidying up the airbox.

Lots of solutions - a nice wee Buell specific catch can that American sports bike sells etc.

All you really need is a bit of extra hose, some hose clips, and a filter.

I was going to do it myself, however got tubbs to mod it for me when getting the exhaust done. Cost me £9 plus a few minutes of his time. He has a really simple and elegant method of doing it too.

Cheers

When re-routing out of the air box, (when using things like the American Sport catch-can) you need to plug the hose hole in the air box. When you do, take care not to get any cement or glue near the oxygen sensor, nor operate it until fully cured. I have heard that some chemical interactions may booger up the sensor.
