I love to brag about mileage. I did get up to 70 mpg many times on cross Canada trips and that was 2 up. I don't ride fast or hard but I do ride steady. The mileage will be the best after the first fill and running steady. Remember this is Imperial gallons and for those south of the border it is equal to a 5 quart gallon. Man would I love to take my Uly to New Zealand and tour over there. The had a show on CBC about NZ a couple of weeks ago and i want to go. I want to cook a trout in the sand on that beach lol |

Ha ha...I think he meant, "Who has the highest number of miles (kilometers? kilometres?) on their Uly?" At 7,150 miles after about a year-and-a-half on my '06, I definitely don't win (but I also have a H-D cruiser I split my time on). Anyone who commutes is probably going to be a contender in this "contest". |

Commuting dosen't necessarly mean more miles.....I seldom commute on the '06 Uly I just traded in on saturday and it had 46,xxx miles on it. In addition, I've put over 6000 miles on my '05 Suziki SV 650 since march of last year. I use the Suzuki for commuting and some trips when the Uly is in need of maintence. My daily commute is about 50 miles round trip. Prior to the Suzuki I used a Ninja 250 when the Uly needed maintence attention.....I rode it 8.xxx miles in the 15 months I owned it. |

Well I don't beat Debueller but I got 36,XXX and it has been from Alabama to North West tip of Illinois (950+ miles) in a day two times. Love the bike ride almost every day 45miles one way and would rather ride the Uly then drive my truck. |

My first '06 Uly lived for 4 whole days before getting totaled with 250 miles on it on 5/11/06. My second '06 Uly now has just under 15,000 miles on it. I picked this one up 7/1/06, but my riding was limited in '06 due to the neck brace and doctors visits. Lots of fun, trouble free miles in '07 though. More this year of course. |

I'm sitting at 28,XXX but I know Bison has to have close to the most miles doing the IBR this year along with his many other rides. Bienhoabob does IBA rides also, he may be topping the mileage list. Make it 29,004 on the ride home today!! (Message edited by rotorhead on January 14, 2008) |

I've got 31M now. Excuses are a broken collar bone during a spill last June, owning a Sportster and being a Northern boy that somewhat hinders the winter months. I will probably be doing the "Sunrise to Sunset" ride this year. (www.mctourer.com) Most eastern part of Maine to most western part of Washington St. That ride alone is 3,560 miles. Double that for the ride to and from the start/end will give me an additional 7M in a weeks time. |

Roman numberal M is 1,000. Not to be mixed up with K that could mean kilometers or 1,000 something or other. |

Bienhoabob I don't have a certified BBG yet or back to back SS1000 (I have 3 seperate SS1000)or is would be up for the sunrise ride. I was thinking of doing a BBG to the founders feast but the Army again has other plans for me at that time. The milage racks up fast when you tag 1000 miles a day, but so do the used tires in the garage. I do have the WVRRR http://www.mctourer.com/rides/2008/SMR/SMR.html set aside for leave. I would invite any ULY rider within a 500 mile radius to do this ride. Good folks and great riding. |

Rotorhead, As you say the MTF is made up of some really nice people and offer some great rides. I try and do at least one ride a year with this group. During your WV ride, I'll be doing the Minnesota 1000 rally. Put on by the teamstrange group. Another great group. |

My 06 has 35,700 miles in less than 24 months and everything is good. In that time span I think I have spent less than $75 dollars on it other than routine maintenance which I do, basically oil changes. (1) TPS reset ($35) and (2) labor ($30) on an aftermarket spark plug wire malfunction. In comparison my buddy took his BMW 1200 LT in for his 36K service and cost him $856.00...he was not happy. |

My '06 is at almost 41,000 miles. Only problems were clutch cable breaking and two low-beam headlamps. I do all maintenance meself. Uses a little oil but runs as good as ever. I hope to keep this Uly a LONG time. Every ride seems better than the last. |

You guys are building up the miles fast, maybe we should come up with a ULY 50K patch. |

I'd rather see a patch that says, "Loud Fans Save Lives" 32,000 miles and counting. |

40k. It'll be two years old on 1/23. Clutch cable, front mount, oil cooler leak and now low fuel light always on are the only problems to date. I just love this thing. |

Oops, I made a mistake; my 2006 is at 41,500 miles. Hard to keep up with the odometer when you're enjoying yourself so much. DS ride with the locals tomorrow; not much mileage but hopefully lot of fun. Original belt, BTW; going to run it till it breaks. |

Not that it matters, but my 06 Ulysses had 17k and change on it from March 1st to Oct 17th. Bad fan, rear wheel bearings, front rotor, and somehow it ate more tires than gas. |

Not even close to most, but 12,000 miles in the first 6 months of owning an '07. It's at the local dealership right now getting the rear rocker leak fixed, along with the fan being replaced, and melted clutch cable replaced. |

I don't get to ride as much as I'd like to, but I use the Uly as my commuter on most days (50 miles roundtrip), plus I took 3 trips to N.C. and back this summer for long weekends (750 mile minimum each leg). I envy those that can take a few weeks off at a whack, and ride. |

Don, Do you want to start a "Most tickets per mile" thread? NO!!! no more tickets for me! I can't afford any more! both times I got a ticket, I was just riding easy too, but riding a Uly easy is usually faster than the speed limit! |

If you do a ticket one I hope you do one for the biggest ticket. I'd be a serious competitor. |
