We had a break in the weather yesterday and I took the Uly out for a couple of hours way too much fun A friend grabbed some audio of the Remus (along with me hitting the start button while it was running - doh!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QpCJpkJrvQM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UmsxFCTgzV4 It is not as loud as the first one sounds - had the camera a bit too close... I think the second one needs someone screaming Godzilla!!!!!! at the beginning |

Thanks for the sound clips. Sounds very nice. Glad you were able to get out for a while. Does installing the Remus take the race ECM or remapping the stock one or can it be used safely with no other changes? |

DOOD, That's exactly what I've been looking for. Gonna order a Remus as soon as this X-mas thing is over! |

Gotj - my bike came with the Remus and Race ECM, so I assume it is needed. The bike also has a 2007 airbox and K&N filter. A warning tho - the sound increases wrist twist on a bike that already demands it! |

Vagabond, Maybe we could get a group buy going. I would be interested depending on the answer to my ECM question. I don't want to have to change it. |

Gotj, I'm not opposed to a group-buy, but Andy at Appleton gives us BadWeBer's a fair discount. Also, I've been looking on UKBEG, and several of those guys are utilizing the Remus Powerizer on their Buells with good results. I've emailed Andy, and I'll let you know what I find out. Regards, Joe |

Vagabond, Thanks for taking the lead. I couldn't find a US distributor for Remus. I did find an RR model at the link below. I wonder whether that would work on the Uly. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?142838/325292 George |

Vagabond, Did you ask Andy about the Powerizer too? That would seem to be needed unless you are proficient with ECMSpy or some other tuner software. Also another thought on the group buy; it might be necessary for Andy to get involved in importing the Remus stuff. Just a thought. George |

The Remus sounds great! Hard to tell how loud it is from the vid though. How would it compare to the factory race kit muffler volume wise? |

Sorry no idea how it compares - this is how the bike came when I bought it. Sounds much better than the stock ones I have ridden though... |

Gotj, I did ask about the Powerizer also. I haven't heard back from Andy yet, and I suspect that he has taken some deserved time off for the holidays. He carries the Remus exhaust. With the BadWeB discount, it's $720 + shipping Dunno about pricing on the Powerizer though. (Message edited by vagabond on December 24, 2007) |
