I have a Laminar Lip bolted to my stock windscreen. There is a crack radiating from one of the holes I drilled, and it got to the outer edge of the screen.

I'd like to bond it somehow at the edge so it won't "flap" and propagate.

What kind of adhesive will work on the windscreen plastic?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Duct tape? Not very attractive, but useful.

As an aside, why did you drill and bolt the Laminar Lip?

Try one of those places that sells plastic like TAP Plastics or some other places like that which I'm sure there are others. They will most likely have what you need.

Barring all that, try some MEK with a syringe.

Dr.Greg-
You might check with a windshield shop. Some of them use an injectable adhesive to plug rock chip holes in windshields before they spread. Might work for you. Other than that, I would check with a glass shop and see what kind of epoxy they use on plexiglass. I've had no issues with the normal fasteners on the laminar lip- I had it on the Uly while I was waiting for my tall windshield and have since mounted it on my XR650L and has stayed on fine even though I ride the hell out of it on dirt. They will also send you new parts if you call them.

If you want to solvent weld plastic there are two liquid chemicals that will solvent-weld most plastics

These are the primary ingredients in the typical PVC cement which has a "thickener" added to it.

Methl-Ethyl-Ketone (MEK) or Cyclohexanone, both available at places like Ace Hardware or a local paint store.

Both are a liquid and will mar any clear surface. So you'd want to tape off the surrounding area of the crack so it doesn't mar it.
