ChrisW,

I'm sure it's loads better without the hand gaurds, what sort of speed have you seen without them? Is the weave totally gone?

I'm picking up my w/shop manual on Weds (whilst BAS recall and TPS reset are being done) so I look forward to seeing how it differs.

Quick rant:
Effing Stadium HD (Stratstone,Walthamstow) pay their staff peanuts, hence they have tw*ts working there who wouldn't know which way to face on a bike let alone anything about them (there are 3 or 4 bods who know their stuff but you've had it if you don't get to deal with them) so when I ordered my w/shop manual at the end of July I was told it could either arrive in 4-5 weeks (shipping from the States) or it could take 'ages'.
So I decided that last week that 'ages' was up and that as I was passing that I would drop in,cancel the order, get my £50 back and order one direct from the States myself (same cost 'cos of shipping charges due to weight of book),only to be told (by the decent lady service dept. manager) that the guy I had ordered it through (in the parts dept.)had c*cked it up and I would have never recieved it,literally 'never'!

Turns out they'll have one for me on Weds.(2 days time from now) thank f*ck,I need it to wire up my spotlights so I can see where I'm going without slowing right down on unlit lanes.

While there I asked if they had any BAS recall stock in and when would they be doing mine? (it's only been 4,5,6? months-so long I can't remember when I recieved the letter)"Oh does it need doing?we've got the parts, yes." !!M*THERF*CKERZ!!
It's only a safety recall after all, nothing important (typical British sarcasm, lol).
I managed not to swear but made it plainly obvious that I wasn't pleased by their level of 'service'.

Rant over,Phew,thanks for listening.
Put me down in the 'Crap dealers survey'eh!

Hey Hoon,
Mine's in for it's BAS thing end of this month, and I'm doing a deal with them for the exhaust. Standard one is rusted to f*ck (bike is only 6 months old) so they're putting a Remus on less the cost of the standard can. How does the Remus sound, you've got one on your bike, do you leave the baffles in mostly or out?

The Curse of the Weave... I reckon I;ve tried most suspension settings, but only 2 different screens, standard and Zero Gravity slightly taller (3 inches or so) and no noticeable difference. I'm gonna try running without the screen and see if that works, then I'll try without the handguards to see what difference that makes. I'll also get the shop to check (again) that the headstock bearing is tight, could be that I guess.

Just posted on your Limeys get together thread, look forward to meeting up sometime.

Muppet,
The Remus sounds great,I mostly leave the baffles out but put the 'race' ones in for touring/long rides and use the 'road' ones for if I go 'off-road' so as not to piss too many people/animals off (last time I 'off-roaded'-read farmers gravel tracks/packed hard mud-I had a great sighting of a Roe Deer).

You're gonna love it when it sounds like it ought to,it's addictive, wait 'til you find a tunnel to ride through!

Ulyrat update:

The spotlights are now all 'plumbed in' (not tried them after dark yet, maybe some photos when I do).

The new skull is the piggy from my bike clubs hog roast at our bike show, earlier this year.

Well,it is Halloween!
