I'm thinking of putting risers on my bars. I've found the Rox type with a 2 inch rise and the Precision Engineering 1 inch rise.

Looking for information on both installations. Do the cables and wiring work for either option? I may go with the Rox if so since they can rotate the mounts.

Thanks for any help,

Mark

I put the precision's on my 06 about 2 weeks ago. As simple as can be-longer bolts were included and no cabling issues. Very comfy as well. The 'attack position' offroad(thx, Neduro)is also more natural.

Stock cables do work with both mounts. I did the $18 7/8" riser myself, but will probably go with the Rox eventually. I would like a little more back to take some pressure of my wrists.

I did the rox riser. American Sport Bike has them in stock.

About 2" up and pulled back a little was a perfect fit for me. I simply rerouted my throttle and clutch cables and have quite a bit of slack in them now. The steering is also easier as well.

Treadmarks,
How did you reroute your cables? Just curious if you did something different than me.

Ran the throttle cables away from the steering lock and junk on the left side (looking at it from the front) to the right side between the dash and top tree. This freed up alot of cable and now the cable doesn't make the sharp bends to get around the steering head like it did stock.

I can't remember about the clutch. I will look at the bike tonight as I decided not to ride to day because of the freaking monsoon that is hammering us right now.

Thanks for the info everyone.

Treadmarks: Would it be possible to post some pictures of the rerouting of cables and a picture of the risers installed?

Thanks,
Mark
