Looking for an 06 tall seat. I'm short but want to try one and if I don't like it I'll have a pan to work with. What do they run? Pretty expensive? | ||

"Short" is a relative term. I am 5'11" and I took off my 06 seat and installed the 07 seat to get more foot on the ground. If you are "shorter" than me you most likely will not like the tall 06 seat. | ||

I'm just shy of 5'8" and can flat foot one foot on the 07 seat. I find the more I get used to this bike the less the seat height bothers me. I used to ride a XL600R with a 35 inch seat height. No problems just a matter of shifting you position a bit when stopped. The difference is it was about 100 pounds lighter unladen. I figure if I don't like it I can use it for a seat experiment I have in mind. | ||

To bad you are not closer. I have been thinking about trying out an 07 seat. Being 6'5" I do not have an issue with the height but I occasionally ride in jeans and the seams on the 06 are a PITA....literally. | ||

I am going to build a lift for my 07 to see if I can adjust to the height. I figure that would be a wise thing to do before committing to a seat. I found some seat foam so it should be easy to do. I don't mind building one up but really hate to cut one down till I am sure it will work. | ||
