Yes I know a million of them. I am all street and some fairly long tours on weekends with my wife of 500 miles+. She rides as well. I have a chance to get the new Michelin Pilot Road 2's mounted from an independent vs the Scorpion Sync's from the dealer for the same price. Anybody have experience with the new 2 compound Michelin? and thoughts on the Syncs as a touring tire?

Question 2 Is anybody running true sport tires specifically the Pirelli Corsa III?

I have had the Syncs and they are good tires but if you want more mileage I would get the PR/2s. The PR/2 are so new I doubt anyone has any real mileage on them yet...my next set will be the PR/2s.

I have Pilot Road (not the 2's) on my Z750. They are great rain tires and have more dry traction than I have talent. My buddy has them on his R1150R and we've gone down fire roads together with no trouble. It should give higher mileage too over the Sync's.

I've got a pair of Corsa IIIs that came stock on my Hypermotard -- great so far (only a couple hundred miles on it right now), but I would expect the Uly to eat them up pretty quick for everyday riding.

the Michelin Road Pilots are suppose to be a good high mileage tire but I've had such good luck running the Dunlops D-616, I'm not going to change! I put just over 10,000 miles on my stock D-616 rear before replacing and I've got over 5,500 miles on the replacement and it still looks like new and I'm still on the original front tire.

But Michelin has always been known for high mileage tires.

I'm running Pirelli Diablo Stradas at present, and I'm pretty happy with them.

Avon Azaro st's and they rock

Azaro's have been discontinued and replaced with the Storm (AV55 & AV56).

I just installed the Storms on my B12 after wearing out a set of Azaro's.

Got about 9000 miles out of the Azaro rear.

For me the rear Storm does not wear as well as the rear Azaro. Distanzias next for me.

I am running Conti Road Attacks. Tenacious grip but the rear wears way to quick for me. I ran Pirellis on all my sport bikes with great results so I will be going with Strada's next. Go to American Motorcycle tire or Southwest Motorcycle tire online. Buying tires from a dealer is a no win situation. If you have a good relationship with your dealer they should spoon on whatever tire you bring them at minimum cost to you.
