had some minor surging and occas. manifold? hiccup? went to dealer; tps reset and clutch adjustment is what they said was done. bike runs great but does feel like more effort for wheelie? think they may have adjusted timing to help the surge? the surge wasn't that bad? and thousand mile service is due soon do they check timing, afv, tps reset, and clutch again?

Yes, they should perform all of those services. Make you you at least ask them to check them if they say it was just done.
