Anyone have the inside bags for the HB cases on the Uly? Do you like them?
I was heading to the surplus store for rucksack or similar but the price form Buell isn't to bad. 80 for the set of side cases bags and 40 for the top.

Bert - are you talking about the bag liners? If so, we have them and love them. You just have to make sure that the entire liner is in the bag before attempting to close so you don't bust a latch. Check the prices, I think the $80 is only for one liner. If it is for two, then that's a great deal! We got ours before Buell started offering them and they were $70 (I think) per bag. We don't have the one for the trunk, only the two side cases.

They certainly make packing and traveling much easier. Another good thing is that should your bag open for any reason, your stuff stays together and not scattered throughout the road.

If you're looking for a cheaper alternative, do a search on bag liners. I think someone here has ordered bags from LandsEnd that worked well for them.

+1 for the liners. Especially now that they are less expensive through Buell.

+2 on the liners. It's nice to have the option to remove the whole bag and use as an overnight suitcase or just carry the liner for a few hours off the bike.

The liners are great. I got mine on Ebay from St.Paul H/D/Buell at a great price and fast shipping to Canada. I paid $69.00 for the pair of side bags and $35.00 for the top. Great quality and price!! Just try pricing out a set of OEM BMW liners!!! LOL!! : )

Yep I was talking about the liners. The price, if I read the Buell site right, is reasonable if they are fairly tough and durable.

Hey thanks for the in the bike pic, that really puts them in perspective. Are they a rip stop nylon or cordura or pvc variant? Seem fairly durable. I use my cases all the time the bags inside need to last because they will be used a lot.

If you get the liners, be careful when closing the bag cover. As Ulywife stated, make sure all liner components are tucked in. The top strap likes to get in the way when you try to close the door. Also, the liner has dual zipper heads. Make sure both are at the top of the liner when you close the door. I learned the hard way, had both zipper heads at the bottom. When I closed the bag door, one of the zipper pulls was dangling down and was pinched and crushed. Less my dumb mistake, the liners are great.
