Can you find out if they will be having Buell Demo's at the Kansas City Harley Factory Open House event on Sept 7-8 ??? They normally have both Harley and Buells to demo but neither website gives that info. |

Mike, I've been to their Open House event 3 times and that is where I originally demo'd a Buell tuber and decided I must have a Buell some day. They used to have it in October and the weather was not cooperating so they have thankfully moved it to the beginning of Sept. I'm very curious about the XR1200R that I assume is being or going to be manufactured there for shipment to Europe. Anyway, I'll assume that they'll have a few Buells there for demo's as they have in the past. Anybody else going? My wife, son and I plan to ride our bikes down on Friday the 7th and stay at a hotel just off I29 Exit 13 which is just a couple of miles from the H-D factory. It really is fun and a nice ride and just a good excuse to take a mini vacation. I want to demo the 08' ULY again. |

Take a camera if you can and post a report of how it goes, not enough people do that on the site here (myself included). Some of the local dealerships are doing their annual Milwaukee Rally this weekend, but we've got other plans so I don't know if I'll get to any of them. Open House events are nice as the shops usually bring in their whole crew and open up a few extra doors and wheel out a few special bikes that are usually hidden away in a back corner someplace. Sometimes I like the Open House events better than the big rallys since the open house events seem more like a neighborhood block party. Have a good time, hope they do have all the "R" models available for test romps, or at least set up on display. |
