First of all, congratulations! So, what's your opinion? How does the additional steering angle feel? Does it still heat up your leg? Does the fan stay on too long? Is the fan still noisy? Is the rear wheel bearing the same and has it failed yet? How does it handle on the road, dirt, gravel? Did you get a good deal? You can fill these in after you get home. Is it time to go home, yet? |

Cccpull he has 9 miles. I doubt the wheel bearing has been a problem yet. I also doubt he has ridden enough to notice the heat yet. Hey congrats on the new ride. |

Ok here is the report. I put about seventy miles on it last night it the pouring down rain!!! I rode it back to work this morning. Steering lock to lock- was much improved very nice. Engine heat- about the same did not notice any diffrence from test riding 06 Seat- I am 6'4 and I am not crazy about the seat so far. I think I will order an 06 seat. Engine performance- have not taking it past 5k yet (trying to break it in right) but I notice an improvement in low end smoothness before I even left the parking lot. The fan- I only noticed it coming on when I stop at a red light or when I turn the bike off. (full face Helmet) Handling- Great on road handling (had 05 XB9SX and switched to a V-ROD) havent taking it in the dirt but will try it out this weekend. Nothing really serious but maybe some dirt roads. Deal- Got a great deal on it but I work at the dealership so kinda doesnt count. SUMMARY- Great bike so far runs great feels durable, handles great, very fuctional and wish I was off of work putting miles on it!!! |

Gee, I really was just kidding . I didn't expect so many answers so quickly, actually for several weeks. Now, go riding and report tomorrow with a long term evaluation. |

"Seat- I am 6'4 and I am not crazy about the seat so far. I think I will order an 06 seat." B18c5, The 06 seat will put you about 1 1/2" closer to the handlebars. You may be happy with that. I wasn't so got 1" of padding put under the foam in an 07 seat. He used automobile carpet padding since I wanted the whole 1" rise, not what was left over after I compressed 1" of foam. |

Hey B18c5 I also just picked up a 08 Uly. Unfortunately my dealer gave me a 07 manual. The new forks do not have the same preload adjustments. My dealer is suppose to mail me a 08 manual. Any chance you could explain how the new preload is done. |

I hope you have nice dry and cool weather for some excellent riding this weekend. Heck I hope I have some of that weather also. |

Honestly Jdw3343, I know a lot of you are not going to like this but I have a great buell tech (JUST ONE!!!) that works at our dealership. He asked me how much I weighed before he did the PDI. I think I am going to just put some miles on it and mess with it later. Seat of the pants sensors feel good. Sorry not much help with tuning as of yet. |

James: send me a phone number I can reach you at on Saturday. I am eager to find out why the dealer was unable to deliver the 2008 manual with your 2008 Buell. Anyone else have any problem? Court |

OK B18c5, since you work at the dealership, What should the rest of consider "a great deal" on the '08? Feel free to PM. I'm planning on getting one soon and don't want to get raped. |

Court, I have the same problem with a 2007. Dealer gave out the 2006 manual and has not / will not replace with the correct one. |

B18c5, Having spent some vacation time in and around Houma, I am pretty sure they have cameras there ! Where are the real world pictures of this blue Uly ? |

As far as I'm concerned the wrong manuals was an honest mistake. I just want to know how to adjust the preload with these new forks. I also have the blue Uly. If you can settle for camera phone pics I'll try to post weather providing. |

If you guys don't mind bugs, dirt, grass or mud. It's a Uly isn't it? Part of the adventure is the bugs, dirt, grass and/or mud! Really like the Blue! Enjoy your Uly! |

I was thinking of black for me but the blue does look nice. Wouldn'd mind grabbing one of those blue ones. Man, if I could get one now, I wouldn't care what color is is. Well, almost any color.

I am 6'4 and I am not crazy about the seat so far. I think I will order an 06 seat. Same here - mine hasn't come in yet. Am anxious to hear what your final solution will be. |

I figured that was dirtier than most bikes that are 48 hours old |

If blue was available when I bought my '07, I would have gone that route, instead of black. After seeing Maximum's paint job, I'd love to see the blue 'extended' the same way, with the lower chin piece, back seat, and saddlebag trim pieces. To me, the stock blue paint begs for more blue pieces to 'set it off'. Or maybe a red on one side, white stripe down the center, and blue on the other side..... |

Once I make up my mind on seats I am thinking about getting the passenger part blue. |
