Treadmarks, Where have you been? I have been wondering about your progress. The fin grind thing is something that I do each time a mill goes together here and they are American heads and jugs. You should have no problem with cooling. When are you going to finish the Uly? I should have guessed you had a Night Train. Very cool! Will you ride the Uly to Daytona 08? |

I haven't heard from you in a while either. The Uly was in limbo for a couple of months and it was killin me seeing it just sitting there with it's juggless motor hangin down. It is all back together now and I ride it a little everyday, doing the break in again. Did 3 hot oil changes back to back yesterday to get the amsoil out and loaded it with castrol gtx for the break in. I haven't decided if I am gonna hack up the RSS to make it fit with the micron or if the TT bash plate will make it back on. Thanks for sharing about the fin grind thing, as I have been stewing on that for a while. Didn't need to grind much, just enough to make sure there was no contact with the pushrod boxes. The Uly runs better than ever now, just have to get used to driving it again as it is soo much different than the Night Train. Don't know If we will take the Uly or the Train to Daytona, yet. We will see after the holidays. |

Treadmarks, I recently removed quite a bit of cooling fin material on the rear head and cylinder to make room for a very tight fitting exhaust. Even with extra heat from the exhaust, cooling is not an issue. After looking at your modifications, you should be in good shape. |

Man o Man. Just got back from a 60 mile ride through the backroads. This bike runs better than ever now. Did a hot tps/afv reset this morning and now it is so smooth. Second gear power wheelies are even easier than before, for sure. The motor likes to wind up much faster that the previous setup. 100 mph comes pretty quick now. Fan runs all the time once the motor warms up, even moving. I sure miss the RSS. Frame still gets warm to touch, but not as hot as it used to. I will ride to work tomorrow and see how she does in traffic in hell hot miami. |

I'll be the other Ulysses there Last week there were like 3 hypermotards, a couple of beemers, and of note a (unrestored??)cbx honda that was cleaner than I could keep it if it lived in my house. Plus the more typical crowd of course. Should be no problem to find you and I sent you a pm. |

Just gotta say, that armadillo sounds nice with the big bore and micron. And the lights? They fit better than the pictures even show. And yes I could feel the heat from feet away as soon as they were lit up. Cool stuff. I really shouldn't have seen all that if I want to keep mine mostly stock. Maybe footpegs for me next, those were some serious kit too. |

Hi George. Thanks man. Thanks for coming down too. We had the only Ulys there. There was a nice crowd there last night too. Man the more I ride the 1250 the better it feels. Got about 400 miles on the fresh motor now, and it is starting to loosen up just a little bit. You know you want to spend some money on the Uly bling. I'll give ya another month, before you start pimpin your ride. |
