I know there are a few of you that live in upstate SC or surrounding areas.

What dealer experiences have you had in Gastonia, NC, Augusta,GA, or Columbia, SC. These dealers are all about 1 1/2 hour drive from me. I would rather give a Dealer my business that likes Buell and gives good service if I ever need them for warranty, parts, etc.

I did visit the dealer in Gastonia a few weeks ago and they seemed nice, at least spoke to me right away and were happy to show me the Uly, although product knowledge was not either of the two guys that I spoke with strong points. No chrome questions for them, ya know.

Chris,

I'm down in the lowcountry, but I have visited the dealers in Augusta and Columbia. Both had a significant number of Buells on display. Augusta had several different Buell t-shirts and actually had a rack of Buell accessories, including some aftermarket (non-Buell/non-Harley) stuff obviously aimed at Ulysses buyers (auxiliary lights and heated grips IIRC).

The dealer in Columbia (Thundertower) is fairly new (just over a year old) and seems to be slowly making an effort to sell Buells. Several of us from BadWeb visited there a few months back and they did have a new Buell clothing rack with at least couple of different kinds of Buell t-shirts.

I can't say how either of them is as far as service for Buells, but I haven't heard anything bad about either of them.

The dealer in Charleston (Lowcountry) is OK. They're not very pro-Buell, but they have at least one good Buell service tech and one guy in sales who is pro-Buell (a former racer). I bought my Uly there and they've always given me good service.

Thanks Hugh. I'm looking at the first of the year to get my Uly, so I hope to get some more good feedback from some more neighbors.

Man, I'll bet you guy are getting hammered by the heat this week in the lowstate. We've had 102-107 temps all week. Need I mention the humidity.

Chris,

The dealer here in Augusta GA is great. Still have to schedule an appointment but their mechanic is first rate. They will soon quit selling Buells but assure me that they will continue to maintain them. Russell is the man to talk to about Buells.
