The Uly seat(s) and I havent ever gotten along very well. 45 min if I'm lucky on a 07 seat. The 06 seat is worse at 30 min. I even tried a corbin for a while however the sliding around was too annoying.

So I'm think of trying one of three things.

Airhawk pad
or

or send my 06 seat off to Sargent Cycle and have it modded.

Inputs on any of the three.

I have a sheepskin that helps some.

I thought of sending mine to Mayer also but that is a winter project. Good luck.

If you want to experiment, here is something similar to that Mad Dog seat cover, and you can always return it if it doesn't fit or work. Check this out:

I have the Air Hawk pad. There are four things that you will notice about it. One, it is a little bulky feeling, but it has advantages that can overcome that. Two, it will make the seat taller, by what ever amount of air you put in. Three, it is a real good heat insulator, and four, it takes out about 50% of any vibrations that you would feel from the seat. Oh, did I mention that it costs about $170?

I bought it for use on my former City-X for longer trips. The trip to homecoming is the first time I really tested it on the Uly. I don't have much problem with all day riding on the '06 stock seat. Short trips are when you notice its bulk as it takes a couple of miles to squish into it just right.

Would I buy one if I were having your kind of issue? Yes, I had the same issue as yours on my City-X. Would I buy one specifically for riding my Uly? No, but I don't have those issues on the Uly, however, I do like its heat insulating quality.

What about sheepskin? Sheds water well, ventilates, and I hear the Airhawk makes you feel like you are riding above the bike rather than on or in the seat. Disclaimer: Never sat on an Airhawk

I bought a set of beads from beadrider.com. I don't know if they would fix your seat problems, but I REALLY like them for long rides. More air flow, no monkey butt. YMMV.

My problem is a pressure point numbness in my tail bone area. I wish it was simple as monkey butt.

You might need a slightly more forward leaning position to take some weight of your tail bone and transfer it to your arms. You might be able to move/roll the handlebars slightly away from you to make you lean forward a bit.

i dont know your goal, mine and my wifes were comfort, comfort, comfort.after the price of the bike and only being able to sit for 45min the cost was not an object.we sent our seat to russel/mayer daylong seats in northern calif.cost was about 700.00 for the twoup in all leather. worth every penny.we can ride as long as we want now. the only problem is it raised an already to high seat height by 1 inch. i had already planned on lowering bike so now i will do 2 inches instead of 1 inch. hope this helps. good luck, pat
