This is the second time the bike has died on me when I go to take off from a stop. But this time I was on a hill turning right with gear in the side cases. I was so close to home I could see my roof.

The bike went over and I tried to save it, not a good idea. I pulled the hell out of my right hamstring and could not ride it home. I did pick the bike up and power through the turn and get out of the road in a lot of pain. Not sure why I pulled my hamstring, for work I hike into the woods up to 12 miles a day the first half of each month year round??

BUT!!! you can almost not tell that I put it down. A very small scratch on the right case and bar end. I am a little upset at both of us, the bike and I, for dropping it but I was to far into the turn going to slow to save it.

Funny thing is I have an appointment for Friday to get the timing and TPS reset to maybe run a little better. Don't think I will be able to ride by then. My Dr. friend said I may be off the bike for a few weeks......I guess this is the right time to send the ECM out to Appleton LOL.

Horr, down but not out!

Horr-ible news.

I don't recall from the other threads, but you *have* had the BAS recall done? Very odd....

Hope the leg feels better quickly!

Thanks Lime. Fixed. I'm useless at the end of the day.

Thanks guys, little better today already.

My BAS is in the tail of the bike so I don't think it is that.

It was a cough and die. From day one I could not blip the throttle when I was at a stop or I would get a backfire from my intake. I still get them and I think I just got real unlucky and that happened at just the wrong time. I think also that I may have been a little soft on the gas, I have lifted the front up at that light many times due to the poor pavement job.

Maybe a weekend with the family will make the leg feel well enough to throw over the bike?

Horr

Take your time healing you wouldn't want a repeat problem with the bad leg, that could be disastrous should it give out when you need it.
