I was reading this article and a couple things caught my eye in the discussion with Buell: http://a1264.g.akamai.net/7/1264/1354/19b1369db77a be/www.buell.com/en_us/news_events/pdf/112406+Moto rrad_article_en.pdf … on the two-times replacement of the front brake disc. Within the scope of product advancement starting as of model year 2007 we adopt improved brake disc floaters.Worn floaters might cause damage to the disc if not replaced in time. We know of problems on older models in combination with year-round duty.We therefore recommend the precautionary use of care products. As of model year 2007, the coating of the exhaust system has been improved. Anyone familiar with these? My muffler looks awful and I plan to ask for a warranty replacement. If it also falls apart I'll get it coated myself. The brake disc one had me interested, if there is an upgraded part I can install now to prevent failure. But I'm not seeing anything in my searches of badweb... Anyone know what changed? |
