quit being grumpy. Get on with the bendy and dirty. I have the short Uly that the company didnt build. Its a cityX with a Scg seat on it, and the ULY front beak. Pic on profile. I only have 3.5 inches of ground clearance, but that is the trade off for inseam height.
Your other option is to put the SS shock and fork springs on the ULY with a custom seat. Or get a custom seat to the New TT.
Just gotta think outside the big height box. I have one of each on the showroom floor, come see me for the fly & ride short program : D

Hi Cityxslicker
I have an 07 Super TT. Tell me about your custom seat for it, and how much lower it is. I live on Vancouver Island,no Buell accessories in B C Dealerships. You are not that far from me, do you have a price and mail order service or I may ride down and pick one up.
Thanks for any information.

It is the short seat actually for the TT that I helped get for a customer. Lowers you 1 inch. Lightning® Long Touring Seat
51916-06Y $221.95 We can order it over the phone with a CC and hold it for you until you ride down, or we can arrange shipping, but that would of course be additional. Send me a PM if you want to make it happen.

Hi Cityxslicker
My Super TT has a narrower back than the Lightning Long. I was at a Dealer about a month ago and looked at a stock seat from a Lightning Long but it was to wide. Do I have to change the seat mount at the rear of the bike. I appreciate any information you can give me. Thanks.
Sungull

PS
That inch would sure be nice to have.

Ok, I hope this isn't a stupid question, but how different is the SS from the Uly? What I mean is if I decided I didn't want the height of the Uly, and I didn't really plan on doing off road, how different is the SS? Is it less comfortable for long rides? Is it much worse for a passenger? Sorry for the dumb questions, but it is something I have been wondering.

Dan

It snapped right in at our showroom. I know it looks bigger, but it is only padding, the brackets are in the same spot. Anony? am I missing something? The SS & TT are the same tail section frame.
Dyna, get a demo on the bike, if you are not riding off road, the tt will get you down fine, the only consideration is if you ride a passenger , then the ULY is the better choice. Again get a demo ;)

I just raised the forks on my Uly this weekend. I am 5'8'' tall and raised the tubes about 3/8" and it made a big difference. Note to anyone going to lower their Uly, first you have to lower the forks to remove the stop ring on the fork tube before you can raise them. Still handles great.

All the ones that we have lowered , we have done front and Rear, This is for the 2006-7 Uly, the SS stock units were installed front and rear. (not a tech so I dont know the particulars on the parts listings. I just know we did it)

Legend, out in silverdale, way out west. On my bike, the side hoops are from H&B, for the CityX, they bolt right on and is a really smooth kit. Modified it by welding a plate over the hoops so I can mount anywhere I want. The top rack is a Ventura. It has been cut and welded so the top bar lays flat so I can get my top rack on there level. Pic coming soon with all the bags loaded and mounted. All metal fab was done off site (thanx Dann-o)
