To those who have installed home made fenders flaps on the front of the Uly, do you have any pictures or install how to's?

After completing a 3500 mile round trip a couple of weeks ago, I noticed in rain and sloppy roads all my wicked dirtyness comes from the tire spray over the hard mounted front fender.

I want to curb this spray.....

so anyone got any pics?

Something like the extension on the BMW GS would be ideal...

I had the same problem with muck on the h/light and decided to lower the upper gaurd to solve this (which it did).

It also serves to lessen the speed weave but it doesn't eradicate it totally (down to the Dunlop apparently).

This should be fine as long as you're not 'mudplugging' (even then the lower gaurd will clog first.

Looking forward to other peoples solutions,I think this was brought up not so long ago.

Is it just me or does anyone else think the extra 'bill' on GS's is ott and a wind trap (especially when some have a gaurd right down close to the wheel as well anyway.
I guess it depends on the sort of riding you do,some of you yankee boys (and girls) are limited to 55mph mmm? and I know you all stick to it hahaha.

Oh yeah, 'wicked dirtyness'-great expression!

(no 'how to' shots unfortunately, didn't think of that when I was doing it,just fabricate your own brackets, bracing off the lower gaurd and fork protectors-rubber squeaky rat optional)

Bugger, wish I could remember everything I wanted to say in one post.

You should be able to make out the perspex h/light protector I quickly made up and zip-tied to the bars of the original cosmetic gaurd, cheaper and easier to replace than the headlight.

Not as easy to spot are the metal grills which now cover the oil-cooler (worthwhile I thought) and cooling scoops (cosmetic really I guess-goes with the Madmax styling).

I moved the indicators to the hand gaurds 'cos when my g/f was in front of me (on her own bike)on the motorway, she couldn't see my indicator because of the headlight glare (so she knew where to turn off).

Function before form or something like that.

It's a "flap" you want huh? How about this one? You should've heard the flap in my house when the kids caught us making easter eggs!

How easter eggs are made.
