Leaving Omaha on th 4th and will arrive in Sturgis the next day. Camping for free in Black Hills National Forest 6 miles out of Sturgis. You can demo every brand of bike at Sturgis except Suzuki. | ||

My last trip to Sturgis was in 2001. I had been attending since 1993. I remember riding my first Buell there in 1995, an S2. I bought one when I got home. That is where the love afair started, now on my 6th. Hope to see some of you guys out there. | ||

I'm from Muscatine my self but live in Sioux Falls now also did my time in the Marines. I was just in rapid and the room was 149 for one night. Summer prices have gone up more then usual and that doesn't bode well for the bike weeks. | ||

I'll be there! It'll be my first time out West! I'm PUMPED! We'll only be spending a couple days in Sturgis, then the rest of the week and a half riding around the area and over to Yellow Stone. We have somewhere between 2 and 3 thousand miles planned out. | ||

Semper Fi Bertotti. On the way up to Sturgis we (wife, son, and I) will stay at Chadron, NE (60 miles south of Hot Springs, SD.) New Motel 6. Non-smoking ,Two queen beds, indoor pool for $79.99 per night + taxes for AAA rate. Just for the night of the 4th and then we camp for 2 or 3 nights before heading back to Omaha area. Me and 3 others are riding from Fresno, taking the long way there including a couple of days in Colorado (about 4000 miles total). Sturgis isn't the reason for the trip but merely the turn around point. A couple of days to relax, watch the show, test ride as many as possible and then head back west. Can't wait. | ||

Check the fires in hotsprings before you decide your route. I think they are under control now but I am not positive. I think there are over thirty homes lost and some roads were closed. Hope you all have a great week or two! Semper Fi! |
