I just feel dumb! I have a set of the 8 LED Universal Flashing Brake Lights. Directions are good and easy to fallow. All went well on the install but they are not working. My break light is working. I guess I am looking for some ideas as to what may be wrong. I put the blues to blues/browns to browns in the Telco connectors. Made sure they are seated correctly and that the red dot is flush after compressing. Cut the green loop to get the 5 sec flash then solid. E-tape the ends to protect them. Connected into the wires coming from the break light; Black, Yellow, White/Black. Used the Red Tap-In connectors; Black-Black, Gray-Yellow which plugs into the Orange/White, Red-White/Black which plugs into the Red/Yellow. Made sure the Tap-In connector bars seated all the way. Should I have not connected via the wires from the light and connected the the wire forward of the plug? I am at a loss at this point. Thanks in advance. Horr |

Have you grounded them? |

The Black wire from the flasher control unit is the ground which is connected to the black (ground) wire in the break light. I cant find my volt meter here at the house, I hope to figure this out at work tomorrow. Thanks for thinking about it. Horr |

I have a 32 light set on my bike and connected them to the bike side of the wiring just before the connector for the taillight. Unbeatable visibility and a real attention getter, even in daylight. There were no big problems other than having to remove some of the factory harness wrapping to get enough wire to splice into. You might give Ron at Hyperlites a call.He was very helpful answering some questions I had ans well as being a dedicated rider ( even thought he is riding a 1000 V-Strom ). The directions stated to wire to the bike side of the harness but not very clearly and that may be your problem. Hope this helps. |

Thanks for the info and help. It appears that one of the supplied connectors was bad and I could not tell when I first used it. The small metal piece inside was not cut right and did not make a good connection. After 2 days riding with them on I think I can tell that people are stopping further back. Horr |
