For those of you that have the CRG levers, I am just looking for feedback as far as pro's and cons's, short vs. long, etc. How do the Pazzo's compare?

Thanks!

I just mounted up a set of CRG shorties on the Renthal mid bars this past weekend. Haven't had a chance to ride much with them yet, but I definitely love the look. I decided to leave the handguards off for the time being so everyone can see the tasty lever goodness.

I'll post pics once I take same, and more info after I get some more miles.

I have the short CRG levers on my Uly.

Pros:
Quick easy adjustability. This could be especially important on the clutch side, if you need some adjustment over the stock non-adjustable levers.
I expect the shorties are less vulnerable to damage in a mild drop situation, however this is untested by me, and opinion only.
Roller bearing ensures smooth action. I think that the Pazzos do NOT have a bearing, maybe someone that has the Pazzos will confirm or refute this ?
Visual- they do look nice. I have the gray, not far off the frame in color.

Cons:
Cost - they don't give these things away!
I was able to get a discount on mine because I bought them, along with some other accessories, when I bought the bike, and received an appreciable discount.
About the only other thing I can think of is the fact that the adjustment range may interfere with the handguards. My clutch side is close to hitting the handguard on the outside edge of the pivot point, but does not.

Also, now I want them for my other bikes !

Those "adjustable" (key descriptor) was my first accessory (mandatory one) when I got the Uly. I didn't get the shorty...I got the full size. My Dremel continues to serve me well...

Coming from sportbikes, I do not and choose not to four fingering the clutch. Thus, that was a mandatory upgrade. The inside groove of the hand-guard got in the way for the position I wanted them, but with the right attachment, my Dremel made a quick remedy.

If you're fine with the stock position, which I doubt as you're posting asking for input, I'd stick with the stockers as the CRGs weren't cheap; but for me, it was worth every penny.

I ordered mine from Al and got them shipped to me promptly per suggestion from a board member here.

I have to say though, it was very puzzling to me that after all the thought they've put into engineering the best built motorcycle to come out of this country, they didn't bother to make those damn levers adjustable!

I have the longs on my bike.

The bike dropped hard once when it slid on fresh oil in a parking lot. The end snapped off the clutch lever and I was able to ride the bike home without issue. Replacement cost was only $15 because I just replaced the arm, not the roller ball part.

Love the adjustability and look.

I know they look trick, but what, pray tell needs adjustment? The stock ones adjust the tightness of the clutch cable, what else is needed?

Reach positioning based on personal preference and hand size.

For example, my wife likes the clutch and brake levers on her bike positioned closer to the bar just because her hands are smaller.

These adjustments are easy to make, and like the stock brake lever, do not effect the mechanical working of the brake or clutch. When she had a Firebolt, I had to adjust the clutch with excessive play in the cable just so she could use it securely. Not so much play that it didn't fully disengage the clutch, but enough to allow a good grip with her fingers.
My hand size allows me to position the levers fully out, which is my preference with the brake, but I like the clutch lever much closer in comparison.
Easier to do on the fly with the aftermarket parts too.

I have the long version and wished I'd have ordered the shorts. Otherwise, a very quality product. One of the better farkles I've installed (worse to date are the tuoratec footpegs).

Thanks for the info everybody. Still trying to decide between the long and the short ones. Will the handguards be an issue? I would like to keep them on.

Here's a couple of pics of mine; the long CRGs. Note the position - about middle, which suits me for two finger shifts.

It took me about thirty seconds with the Dremel to shave a few millimeters off the inside groove. Presto.

I was going to buy some of these but the price is WAY to much. so I cut both levers down alot. they are now 2 finger units and it works very well. I dont like using the looong/stock levers because I commute everyday and wear thick winter gloves, and they make it hard to clutch and brake. also if i drop my bike (oh that never happens LOL) I dont worry about braking a lever.
