I know for some of you my ride yesterday would be like riding to the store. But it was the first time I have been able to put some decent mileage on the Uly at one time. Left my house early with no plans for the day. Just basically headed south on back roads. The more I ride this bike the more the love grows. It handled everything I threw at it. Could not figure out how to upload a screen image of my "tracks" from my magellan software. All back country and mountain roads. Apologize for not taking more pics. But I was solo and having to much fun. Only stopped for gas once (Avg of 48mpg) and to stuff a chicken samich in my face.
I actually was shooting for 500 plus but at my last stop I took a look at the rear tire. I knew it was close to the end. I will also say that I did not upload this pick until after I had a new tire spooned on and it really does not do the condition justice. There were cords showing in a couple of spots. Will give the Conti credit. It got me home. Was a little sketchy at times. I had to brake a little hard in traffic once or twice while downshifting and she was a little squirrely. Had to be real gentle accelerating in a straight line.
Never put pictures on here before so I hope that works. |
