Howdy:
I took my test ride today at Pig Trail HD/Buell in Bentonville, Ar. Nice folks there. Drove my as# killin Sportster over there for a look see. Walked in door and there it was sitting there calling to me. Anyway, the test drive was cool and it will come home with me Friday. Midnight Black (everybody knows black is faster)2007 Uly with all three luggage boxes. I was impressed and traded in the Sportster. This web site was very helpful in my deciding to look at Buells.
I do believe I am going to have some fun with this bike.
As soon as the 1000 mile checkup is gone, the wife (she has a Suzuki C50) and I are heading to New Mexico and Co again.

I traded my VRod for the Uly. Never looked back. Enjoy your new toy!

I traded a 02 Shadow for the 07 Ulysses. I love this bike. I've been dreaming of a gs since they came out so it was a big decision to go with the Uly, actually there was no choice it had to be the Uly!

I don't know if the black Ulysses is any faster, but it sure does look better!!! Looks more like an American made motorcycle instead of those Japanese bikes with all those weird colors!

Yeah but orange matches my orange Toyota FJ so much better. Plus in Knoxville TN everything is orange because of the TN Vols. This way I blend in better.

My black Uly matches my black FJ better than the Barricade Orange matches the FJ's Sun Fusion yellow!

Yep. I would have to agree there. I am one or two shades off between vehicles. It still rocks though.

My orange Uly matches the orange Uly that the hot playmate was riding in Playboy.
I don't care which one is faster; ORANGE is much sexier!

It was actually a black Uly, photo brushed to be orange for more contrast. I heard she wouldn't pose with one of those orange ones.

Dennis,
I have a cabin in N.C., in the Snowbird area of Robbinsville. My wife and daughter are there for the summer, and I go up as often as possible.
Enjoy winter !

I'd actually like to stay in that area, but I still have to work.

Plus, we made it through 2 direct hits 2 years ago, and 1 direct hit last year, so it's all downhill after that.

Excellent! Congrats on the new Uly.

Wise choice going with the Black. There is a reason that the orange ones are called BARRICADE Orange.... barricades don't move very fast at all!

Orange Really is faster though.

Black ones blend into the ditch muck better.

Orange ones are easier to retrieve from the woods unless it is fall foliage time.

Have you heard? there are even red ones!

Someone say "red" ones?

Now that is a fast color!

Although technically this one is still orange (sunset orange to be exact).

When I was looking to get off the dirt bikes, (former AZ desert rat and FL orange grove rider) I was looking for a dual sport. I was looking and riding all sorts of Dual sports except for the GS which I had picked up so many times off of the AZ desert after people had dropped them. Anyway I walked into this Harley dealer just to look at this Huge dealership (Grove Winchester VA Harley)from riding the ugly V-Storm next door, and there was a Uly. I really didn't care what color it was, but as Ozarkdennis said, It was calling me. The only color they had was Orange one and it sold that week.
My work cohort rode mine and went out and bought the next one that came in which was black. (We have since found out that the black one is much slower in the corners .
I call it my urban destroyer when in town, a sport bike when I'm in the twisties and full dress bike when I'm on a long haul. I think it does a little bit of everything very well.
Good time lay ahead for you Ozarkdennis, and welcome.

Welcome!!!
I think there is something wrong with my orange uly, I can't get it to go any slower than 80 on the corn lined highways of Illinois. Yesterday I rode through the corn and into the windy city. I was cruising north on Lake Shore Drive when the orange streak caught the eye of a Chicago Blue. Needless to say he didn't buy my excuse when I told him that orange ulys just won't go slow. I'll be making a $75 donation to the Chicago department of revenue later today.

Well, I made it home to Lead Hill. Man, does that thing run and handle curves. It is also one hot sob. I don't know whether to name it Flame Thrower or Hibachi. : )
