Just for fun ...........I will drop the Uly off for the 10K service on first thing Wednesday morning - an appointment I've had for weeks. They will also do the BAS recall and put the new tires on. Who wants to guess how long (in days) until I get my hands back on it?

We're sorry sir, we have no idea how your motorcycle fell off the lift. Your new frame should be here in 6-8 weeks.

Probably 2 days-You should have it back on Friday. I think then perhaps two weeks to a month to get the bike to run properly again.

ON the same topic, my ully just passed 13k, I have done all oil changes myself, cable adjustments, etc...
the bike runs good, doesn't ping or nothing, do I really have to reset the TPS and check timing, I don't have a garage or the proper tools.

Ha! I'm thinking you are all guessing a little low, though.

After I made the appointment I made a commitment to drive up to NY for a week. Normally I would trailer the bike up with me. Since we are to leave about 9:00 on Friday, I predict the bike will be ready anytime after noon that day.

Three weeks, two days, eight hours, fourteen minutes, seven rechecks(to see if this or that was done when you ask), two sorry we don't do that part, and four we didn't know that was supposed to be part of it.

Over billing by twenty two percent(corrected when above happens of course). One call/letter to customer service, and forty five minutes typing about how it went on a thread here.

Disclaimer: I have never had these issues because I do my own service, dealership service departments will vary, based on what so often happens and is reported here, and I really hope it is not at all like this for you.

My 5000 mile service was done same day with BAS recall and new tires as well. I scheduled in advance to be sure parts were in stock.

Yep - made the appointment weeks ago when I asked for the next available appointment.

ejc that is GREAT news.

I used to get a great turn around time when I had my X1 and lived in upstate NY. Until the time I got the call that my bike was ready, then drove over to pick it up and was told there was some bad news - when the mechanic took it for the "test ride" the drive belt just "broke" - with less than 10,000 miles on it. I had only owned the bike for a few months and didn't realize yet the correlation of belt failure and wheelies. Funny thing too - the dealer replaced the belt at cost and didn't charge me any labor. It STILL didn't dawn on me for a couple weeks.......

When my wife took her first Blast in for its 600 mile service, she made the appointment weeks in advance, and she dropped it off the night before. When she went to pick it up, the shop hadn't even started on it. When she asked the "Service Manager" why it wasn't done after she had made the appointment, she was told, "Just 'cause you made an appointment, it doesn't mean we're gonna work on your bike."
She took the bike and we've never been back.

Update - dropped it off first thing this morning. I took it off the trailer and was just about met at the door by the service guy who called me by name (we've never met). He said he saw me come in. He checked me in, very quick and professionally. Took maybe 3 minutes. Things were looking good!. I asked when they thought it might be done. He said it should be out this afternoon. Hallelujah! I was getting ready to get back on here and sing their praises. Then reality set in. Waited around the house til 4 pm and then made the call. Well, they'll try for "mid-morning tomorrow". I didn't even ask for excuses......umm.......I mean details. Compared to my past experiences with other dealers down here, tomorrow would STILL be a minor miracle. I'm giving odds 2:1 against it, however....
