I finally got my Uly in to the dealer for the BAS recall, and when I dropped it off, mentioned that my fan was starting to sound like it was about to throw a bearing. The tech confirmed that it sounded bad, and it would be replaced under warranty. It's been 2 weeks, and the shop is saying that the fans are back-ordered from the warehouse. Anyone know if this is the case? Hard to believe that a standard part across the lineup is completely out of stock, but maybe so.... |

Or they are replacing them with a new part number possibly? |

I would "ask Andy"...seems Appleton has most stuff in stock when others seem to have none. |

The fan is obsolete.... They are being replaced with a new state of the art after market water based system... You can make your own using about 15 of those microprocessor liquid cooling heat sinks... and a fish tank water pump... Sorry... its a boring tuesday...I couldn't help myself.. |

Ok now you're scaring me. I took my Uly, (only 2000 miles on it) to my local dealer and told them the fan is dying. That was Monday. They said new fan would be in by Wed and bike done Wed afternoon. When I called for pick up yesterday they reported that the part was not in yet. Backorder? or poor ordering by service dept? Anyone else know of problems getting the fan replaced? |

Happy to report that I received a call at 7pm last night to say the bike is ready. Coincidence that it became available just after my post to BadWeb? Are higher forces at work? Who cares... The Mule is back! |
