Long story short, I was uhh... "gathering data" for the "What’s your top speed on Uly" thread, and my stock short windshield decided it did not want to deflect wind anymore, so it got up and left, giving me a nice knock on my helmet to let me know of its early retirement.

So my issue is, I got no clue what windshield to use to replace it. I was gonna get one anyway, but the lack of a local windshield dealer what will let me demo a handful of different ones to pick has made it had to choose. I would like to know what you guys recommend for me to look into. My height is about 5'9", and I use the 06 low seats. Thank you in advance guys!

Oh yea, if you happen to be cruising down Rt 7 south in Connecticut and you happen to see my rogue windshield plotting its next attack, let me know. : )

That is why I use the Hardware from my Parabellum windshield even when using other windshields, currently a zero gravity. Parabellum uses "T" nuts glued to the back of the stock rubber grommets, then bolts with rubber laminated washers on both side of the wind shield. It ain't goin' no where!

Wow...that's interesting. I'm running a +2.5 Cee Bailey's and I've done a couple of track days were 100+mph speeds were common. The last one I did saw the speedo pushing 120mph. The shield stayed stuck.

I replaced mine with the ZG smoke-colored from Al @ American Sportbikes. Delivered in less than 72 hours. On a related note, DO NOT use "Goof-Off" on the OEM windshield.

Froggy, Froggy, Froggy, Froggy, I was not suggesting you go out there and open 'er up. I'm sorry you lost your screen. Try the ZG smoke, it's a nice shield for anything <128mph...you animal!!!

Chad, did they let you ride on track day with your windshield on? I was told I'd have to remove mine before riding so I decided not to do the track day this time. Besides I have close to 10,000 miles on my stock Dunlop D-616 tires with the read running with a plug in it so I decided to wait till the next track event, by then I should also have my race kit installed.
