I've been looking into getting a gel insert professionally placed in my stock Uly seat. I'm tall enough (barely) for the stock seat but after doing a lot of comparison shopping, it wouldn't be much more expensive to get the factory low seat with the gel already in it. Is there anybody out there who has had both and noticed a real difference in comfort? Thanks |

Not a hard DIY project to install a Gel Pad. Did one a couple of years ago on a HD Touring seat. Check out http://www.thepropad.com/Default.asp?cookiecheck=y es& |

You can get a large gel pad at a good bicycle store and for less than 20 bucks. Make sure that you have something between the gel and the Naugahyde seat cover as it will eventually eat the plasticizer out of the the original seat cover and then the Naugahyde drys hard and cracks. Whatever makes the gel sticky feeling is what'll eat the Naugahyde. |
