I figured there could be some that came off the chin spoiler mount but then I think I wouldn't like the pressure that put on the head pipes and the heads. The Buells are an odd thing to mount highway pegs to. In no way do I think they are a necessity but I do think they are a luxury that should be produced by someone, even if they are fugly.

I have to agree on both accounts. They would look quite weird on the Uly, but there have been times when I'm out on the slab doing 90 and I have to take turns sticking my legs out front to stretch them to prevent cramps. It sure would be nice to have somewhere to place my size 12's instead of just dangling them out there.

I've found that at about 75+ there is enough air pressure that I can let my legs hang limp and they just float behind the pegs.

I have also been known to flip down the passenger pegs, lean forward, and hang my feet on them.

You can also take turns sitting on alternating feet.

I agree. I've often thought that it'd be nice to have someplace else to put my feet. Stretch out if you will. Maybe if they flipped up like the passenger pegs do, they wouldn't always be sticking out looking fugly.

Harley has a product called a Road King that will permit use of those pegs....unfortunatly you can't mount them with a helmet

I've thought about that also but I think mounting on the engine cases would drive you nuts with the vibration. Maybe some close hugging crash bars with flip-up pegs would work nice without looking too fugly.

I also let mine dangle in the wind once in a while. Standing up also helps a lot when I get that familiar butt-cramp...LOL!

Too bad Harley can't make a bike as nice as a Buell. The fact that people pay twice the price boggles me. Get a darn Yamaha or something.

(I have exclusively ridden 4 different harleys for around 50,000 miles total)

Nothing in the Owners manual says that if i ride a Buell I can't find a way to make it extremely comfortable during long rides.

Don't tell me you havn't had a long day of riding and wanted a different place to put your feet, if you can say you havn't ever wanted to, you havn't ever had a long day of riding.

You could use a length of rope looped at each end and slung over the airbox. Put your feet in the loops.

Yeah, it would be stupid, but at least I am thinking outside of the box.

I meet a guy traveling down RT 30 on a M2 he had made some floorboards out of aluminimum and thread stock.
