So I've read a comment here that Buell engines are made mostly "in house" now and are not just "hotted up" Sporty lumps; what's the story? I've always envisioned these big black trailers of HD motors leaving the Millwalke factory late at night and with (stealth technology) so that Willie dosen't see them. They arrive at 4am in Troy, elves with crowbars pry open the wooden crates and Eirk stands over them with his pockets full of magic dust sprinkles it in the intake ports. Just how much of these motors are compiled in the Buell factory and how much of these motors are "sub assembled" at the mother ship? Just how different are the Buell motors different from the ones that come on butt draggers? Small minds want to know.  | ||

The engines come to the factory fully assembled. When I took the tour, I didn't spot any pixie dust. Of course, maybe that's why then don't allow photographs. LOL!  |
