Author Message   Radegast Posted on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 - 11:23 pm:        After my test ride last saturday, I decided that I should get one. The dealer I did the ride at couldn't help me out, but I found a used '06 with 1000 miles on it at another dealership. I phoned him and we worked out a deal for the bike and a new set of bags. I'm picking it up sometime between now and Saturday. This dealership sounds like they are in the business of selling bikes, not showcasing them. It's a five hour drive one way, but worth it. Now I'm going to tie in a business trip with picking up the bike on Friday. Get to save a vacation day! As for the bike, I'm giving up some speed, but I'm gaining a lot more. I'm picking up the bike in Dallas. I think with this bike everything will seem much closer. I was really shocked at how much I liked the ride... well, not that shocked. I just really love my current ride ('04 Z1000), I didn't think it would be that much better. The wife and I have had 14 bikes over the last 8-9 years, hopefully I'm finding something to hold on to. She rides an FJR1300. I got a brand new '07 instead!! (black)
