I'm about to change over to 07 Progressive springs and was unable to find the following via searching, although I know its on one of those posts somewhere

What is the recommended fork oil height for use with the 07 springs?

Does anyone have the suspension chart for the 07 bike? I had a pdf copy but lost it when I reformatted my machine.

Thanks for the help.

Seems like DaveS posted the suspension settings changes in the 2007 manual, but I couldn't find that.

Thanks JM, got it changed last night. Pretty straightforward, although the Traxxion Dynamics tool and my wife, made it much easier than it would have been trying it solo. There is quite a bit of preload on the spring.

I found the suspension chart on the Buell website. They have all the manuals posted in the owners section.

Was their spring compression tool the only piece you used? I was going to order it, but wasn't sure if that's all I need. What do you think of the difference in springs?

The spring compressor tool is all I needed from Traxxion. It came with a U shaped piece of metal that slides under the locknut to hold it in place. The included instructions were pretty good as well, and mirrored the service manual for the most part. I used my wife in place of the aluminum jawed vice that they recommended.

Other tools I used included... A 32mm wrench for the fork caps (loosen them before removing the forks), the hex sockets for the triple clamps (don't remember the size offhand), needle nose pliers, a 14mm and 17mm wrench (fork internals), 22mm socket for axle, and a flat head screwdriver.

I haven't gotten a chance to ride it yet, but the progressive springs definitely looked firmer sitting side by side with the stockers. Probably why there is a ~60mm difference in oil height. I'd have taken a picture of the springs, but didn't have the camera handy. Bouncing the bike afterwards showed that the bike dives easy at the beginning of travel but firms up in the later half. I couldn't get close to bottoming the forks, pumping it in the garage. I'll have to see how they ride this weekend.

I also ended up reseting the rebound dampening adjusters as per the service manual, since I moved the locknut during disassembly.

Here is the online 2007 owners manual:

Look at the last page of the operations chapter.
