The Windshield Fairy left those under my email pillow.

It does exist and has been ridden behind.

That's not a windshield, that's a sail...just shift into neutral, kill the engine once you're at speed, and go rolling down the highway.

Michael,
Was there a need to put the Buell tall windshield bolt kit on the ZG screen or more just peace of mind? I can't say I have heard of any popping loose at speed. I just received a ZG screen and plan on selling my Buell Tall screen. The flip on the Buell screen buffets me more than I would like. However I don't want to get decapitated by my ZG screen if they have a habit of flying off. I would also like to have the ability to quick switch to the smaller screen in the hot summer months.

Do those outer mounts connect to the mirrors? I wonder if that helps or hurts the vibration in them? I still stare in amazement at the size of that shield. I'm just not sure what to think.

Piece of mind that's all. The flip doesn't allow it to put pressure on the lower monting pins. I believe it will be a good screen and I might go back to using just the pop in pins. I ran it without the recall kit for a few thousand miles without issue. So I may go back, I may not. Depending.

As was reported by the designer, the "Big Ass Windshield" provides a buffet free bubble for the rider.

I have the ZG. It's by no means a barn door, but makes a noticable difference. It looks cool, too... I agree about the big screens in that they just look goofy as all get out.

I'm also using stock mounting on it, and it's never been an issue. It's probably a good idea to clean everything first, though.

Well there would be plenty of room, but where is the "free" buffet?

After putting on the ZG screen today and taking a test run as fast as 100 mph. I have to say this is the best windshield that looks good on the bike. It takes the majority of the wind off my chest and puts me in a clean flow of air about helmet high with no buffeting. The Buell Tall caused buffeting around my helmet and was fatiguing. Great windshield and it gets my two thumbs up.

I would like a manual adjustment windshield similar to the Goldwing Windbender... see here:

http://www.firecreekacc.com/wind_bender.html

It would be nice if Parabellum would add this feature to their windshields... it is like having a windshield over a shorter base windshield and then have adjustments to lower or raise the outer shield.

There will be a 1000 mile report on the BIG ASS WINDSHIELD after this weekend. It has been on for 700 miles so far.

It takes some time to get used to, adjust to, and accept that radical of a change to the ride and handling of the bike. Other Uly riders have ridden it also and I have some input from them also.

It has seemed that no one was willing to make one that gave full coverage to include the arms and shoulders (probably because it is scary to look at at first).

I had the ZeroG tall windscreen on my Uly for a month or so. Definitely a bigger bubble behind it, didn't really notice a heckuva lot more turbulence.

It felt secure to above 100Mph, I wasn't worried about it coming off. I do recommend locating a small rubber bumper on the top of the flyscreen in the center as an additional fulcrum point. At high speed, the pressure had that top edge very close to the top edge of the flyscreen there.

I took it off to sell to a customer when we were out of stock. I prefer the look of the smaller dark smoke zeroG screem personally, but the tall one looked pretty sleek in dark smoke.

I take a different approach to wind protection.

I wear proper gear (insulated if weather permits), and a full coverage helmet. If it's really cool out, I'll use a wind blocking bandana around my neck.

At 6'5", if I put on a windshield tall enough to shield me from the wind, then I'd be looking through it. I'm not a fan of looking through a windshield unless it's in a car.

I put the Cee Bailey's +2.5 on my bike to move the wind blast off my gut and up to my chest. Made a big difference. I get nice smooth air to my head. The only buffetting I get is when I stop and the engine is shaking my fillings loose. : )

With the stock '06 seat I am right at the point where I can look over or through.

I didn't realize how high we sit on the Uly until I measured for the "BIG ASS WINDSHIELD".

I am leaving it on for MBIV for your viewing pleasure.

I have had the chance to ride behind the BAW at speeds up to about 50 mph. Compared to the Buell tall windscreen it was really smooth sailing....pun intended. The only thing that bothers me a little bit was the closeness to my face and the fact that for me at 6'2" I had to choose to look over it or through it on corners as the BAW was angled.

Kudos to Etennuly for creating the beast and creating a whole new niche market for E Tennessee craftspeople.

That could cause some serious aero-dynamic drag for all the more torque a dog of that size would have.

On the other hand, it could go real fast backwards!

Um...that would be me...I was in the house working with just socks on and my wife called when she pulled in the neighborhood. So I slipped the sandals on just to run out and help her get the dog out of the car before she pulled it in the garage.... Awww nevermind...you'd never believe me anyway. I guess I'm just getting old. Did I tell you I bought a ukelele last week.

When I lived in Fla in the eighties, I caught the same gaff for not wearing sox with my shoes, ala 'Miami Vice'. I did have some hideous Hawaiian shirts, however I never got into pastel suit jackets and mullets.
