Based on my dealer experiences to date I'm concerned that my side stand ,(May 06 Production) , may not have been changed. Can I tell by by looking if I have the updated side stand? | ||

The side stand pivot is no longer a nut/bolt system, instead there is a 'C' clip retainer. The two bolts that secure the whole side stand system to the engine case are less obvious. And, were more problematic than the pivot bolt. Only way, I know of, to determine if they are updated would be to either have seen them installed, or install them your self. | ||

Bails, my bike has May 06 stamped on it - i would say our bikes came over on the same shipment. My stand is the updated version. Matt. | ||

And a really nice patio/carport! Yeh this is just finished, I'm an owner builder so I'll probably finish my house when it's time to move out to the Nursing Home. My garage is full on daughters move back to home in between jobs stuff, can just get the Uly locked away at night. These shots actually show the things I've done in 4 weeks of ownership, screen, dual lights, RH scoop, 07 seat , have some luggage coming, and this should be good enough to do a trip 3 t0 4k next week | ||

You could also just phone any dealership and give them your VIN # and they will tell you if the recalls are done or not. This is standard in the industry. |
