Are the Uly bags exactly the same as the H&B Journeys?

I'm looking for some used Uly ones, to mount on my XB12S. I don't think that'll be a problem, but I also want to use them on my Hayabusa, which means I'll have to rig some mounts for them, or buy some from SWMotec or somewhere. They make a mount for the Busa to mount H&Bs.

Thanks

My understanding is that they are the HB Journey bags just with "Buell" on them.

mounted backwards for Buell....
All the rest of the Hepco racks the mounting latch goes in the rear of the rack. Buell made it so you had to use their bags and mounts together, notice you can not buy H&B mounts for a buell anywhere. This is a similiar trick that KTM did with the Gobi bags a few years ago. KTM's popularity then brought aftermarket support from hepco becker and now you can buy mounts, and ect...

So, you can do it but be ready to fab mounting tabs on your other bike....

Someone on here is using the gobi bags on the Uly. Are they the same deal, with the latch in the opposite side?

Why not just reverse the Buell Journeys on the HB mounts? They're "uni-side" now as it is. Maybe I'm wrong...

You just have to swap the bags left to right... I've got Gobi's on my bike. They pop right on, just on the opposite side.

if you switch to other H&B cases try reversing the sides like other said...only prolem I see may be the location of the turn signals. The journey bags have indents for them.

I have the H&B cases on my Uly, and the mounting latches are on the front side of the cases. DaveS hooked me up with the brackets.

Rich-
I have a stock H&B topcase and an extra large
50 liter Journey "touring trunk" which I will
be selling soon. Let me know if you are interested in either one.

If Rich is not interested, I would be interested in the larger top box.

Thanks, I won't be running a top box, just the side cases.

If I can find some.
