Did a search for "ME880" tires and couldn't find any posts with Uly use. Had good luck with them on BMWs, for touring duty, and wondered if anyone had tried them on the Uly. I realize there is already a tire thread, but I didn't want to divert that thread. |

I always heard the ME880s wore like iron, and depending on who you talked to, didn't offer the same grip as the sport tires. |

I have used ME880's on a number motorcycles and for my intended purpose they are the absolute best available in my opinion. The latest is my Ulysses and for anything other than track days or the equivalent tight roads they are very good, again in my opinion. ref |

So what size are you using on the rear? I was told they aren't available in 180/55/17......Do you have any issues with them being too hard or slipping a lot and could you please post a pic with them on? I put them on my S3T but haven't put many miles on them yet because I love riding the ULY too much! They are a little hard for my riding style on the tuber though... BC Steve |

That tire is the choice of most of the LD riders I know. They are looking for mileage over grip, though most folks wouldnt notice much difference on the street. |

I always thought the 880 was designed for big heavy cruisers. That's what I always used them on. Good tire for that. |

On my ST-1300 I use the 880 on the rear and a Z-4 or Z-6 on the front. Good mileage. |
