With all the talk of pining.

I would like to pose this question:

Has anyone suffered an engine failure that can be DIRECTLY attributed to pining?

Teeps,
I have not had engine failure but my plugs had small traces of aluminum on them. That is why I changed my timing. My plugs look good now.

Ditto on the timing. The dealer did that at 1000 miles for free. Now 17,000 miles later I have not heard it ping once since.
