I have a customer who has it. He likes the screen, but thought that the mounting hardware wasn't the best. He made his own mounting hardware setup. |

I have one on the Uly. It bolt on to the windscreen holes and is pretty solid. I like it. Blocks the air blast, but no turblence, thanks to the vent. |

OK fellows, The choices for more wind protection seem to be the following: CeeBailey, American Scientific, Aero-Flow, Zero Gravity. Any other choices? Now for the question-how do they compare?-wind protection and turbulance and durability. I am 6'2" and the wind from the Tall Buell screen hits my helmet just above the chin guard. |

The choices for more wind protection seem to be the following: CeeBailey, American Scientific, Aero-Flow, Zero Gravity. Did you mean "California Scientific" or is there also an "American Scientific" windshield also available? |

Pictures at www.calsci.com. Emailed them about the $60.00 rebate to turn in a competitors windshield. I have a Cee Baileys that I don't like. (Way too much turbulence and a poor fit) |

i've had the tall calcsi windshield for about three months, and put the standard back on for the following reasons: 1-messes up handleing at high speed, (barn door attached to the bars.) 2-high speed helmet lift, or suction, at higher speeds. 3-it ruined the look of the bike imo. at speeds below 60 mph it works fairly well, but at times while passing or riding faster, i got a little headshake and some unwanted input to the bars from that big thing in the wind. |

Dickc, I installed the tall Calif. Scientific wind shield on Tues. Nicely cut, and finished. The shield was packed in a 'big sock' inside of the shipping box, to protect it from scratches. The wind comes off the top and hits me right in the eyes. I need to have the face shield down at speeds over 60+mph. Going to try some modifications this weekend. My stats-6'2", 32" inseam, low uly seat. Will get back with results. |

Dickc, Been cool and wet around here so just getting to try some mods. The screen comes with 4- 1/4 in. spacers to put between the screen and the 'number plate' keeping the screen about 1/4 in in front of the number plate. I put 2 of each of the spacers over the top two machine screws (bought longer screws) so that the screen is a little more vertical and not tipped back so far. This moved the wind coming off of the top of the screen up about 1 to 1 1/2 in. Much better, now I can ride with my visor up and not get blasted in the eyes. Will try this for a week and reeval. |

Any recent updates on the Cal Scientific windshield? I'm trying to decide if I want to replace my Cee Bailey with a Cal or Parabellum piece. |

Had the Cal-Sci medium screen but snow and ice have prevented a test. Tomorrow is supposed to hit 50 degrees, and, if the streets are not covered in salt soup, will post test results. Had a Cee Bailey and the turbulence drove me crazy. Sent it back to Cal-Sci for a $60.00 refund and will post when I get that. Bought the medium height because it allows me to look over the shield.

Got 30 miles in today, before Bambi's family started targeting motorcyclists, and the 1st impression of the Cal-Sci medium shield is good. I am 5'10" with a 29" inseam. Air stream hit me at the top of the face shield on my full face helmet, and I look over the windshield, not through it. Huge improvement over the Cee Baileys as there was no turbulence, all smooth air. Opened up the top vent on my helmet and the air flow was very good. Cold now, but a real help in hot weather. Will post again when I get some real miles in. Tomorrow is supposed to be 50 and sunny. |

I noticed that one of he windshield companies recommends the windshield height be at the middle of your nose in normal seated position. My experience with the shield on my FXD seems to bear that out. Mine is a little lower than that and buffets me pretty good. But if I lower my head a little it smooths right out. I like looking over it best anyway. Jack |
