Only problem is this guy has no clue that the ECM is different for the 9's and the 12's. |

What's up with the muffler? Mine is shiny. The one on eBay looks like it's primer gray???? |

That is an xb9 kit. The 12 version had a polished muffler. |

Well, I guess Josh settled it; no race kit for Uly owners. |

The ones for the XB-12, that work for the Uly aren't going cheap... $475 shipped for a used race muffler... 1,http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? Uh, wow, I've got a race kit I bought right before they went out of production sitting in my basement. I've been debating if I should install it or not (I like it quiet, bike runs great as is...).. Worth over a grand huh.. hmm... |

Sounds like you have a gold bar in the basement. Personally, I would install it as it really changes the character of the bike. Makes it sound like a muscle car. However, it does make it quite a bit louder, but it makes the bike sound so much better. If quiet is important, you might be better off selling it. My Uly ran jerky at low RPM (1800-3000) with the stock stuff, but the Race kit smoothed it out quite a bit. I've actually found myself shifting at 2500RPM on many occasions since it runs and pulls so cleanly. |
