Stopped by the Buell dealer yesterday. The 2007 Midnight Black XB12R looks great and not to bad to sit on, still haven’t ridden one. Thinking of trading the 06 Ulysses for it and didn't have it with me to talk trade. Dealer said unseen with 4500 miles on it trade in difference would be about $4500 after tax and title. Lets see XB12R $10500 + tax title and setup about $11500 - $4500 makes the Ulysses worth about $7000 as trade in. Seems a little low but I guess they have to make a living. Don't think he new I had all the hard bags to go with it. I may wait till spring when I can get a little more out of it on Ebay or maybe trade it here to someone who has a 06 12R. I like all the 06 colors red blue and black. Any one else went to trade their Buell to find It may have lost a lot of value and or does $4500 difference sound about right? | ||

To give you another data point. I paid $8500 for my stock Ulysses, used, with 850 miles on the clock, back in May/'06. Included in the deal: shop and part manuals, 3qts of Mobil-1 V-Twin oil, a filter, and a black air-filter cover. | ||

Thanks for the invite Daves. Teeps I never have been able to wait for a good deal. I once paid nearly $2000 for a 286 computer but it was the latest and greatest at the time. Edger I might do that. If he came down enough might ride it home. | ||

You and me both brudder. Once I rode the Uly I couldn't wait long enough to shop around on price- the dang thing had me at light-up! |
