Pulled the trigger and bought me an '04 Boxster S, picked it up in Pittsburgh last Saturday and drove it home. After driving it to work Monday and Tuesday, I decided to ride the bike to work this morning to see if I still need a bike with a car like that. It was 26 when I left the house...gotta tell ya, the car gets the nod for cold weather riding. Actually, its 0-60 is not much more than a second off the Uly's, and its top end is 30 mph over the bikes. But my wife wants me to keep the bike because if I sell it I'll end up buying another one next year. Smart woman-after 18 years she knows me pretty well. |

A second is a LOT of time when you are talking 0-60 time. Of course, I find that I don't stop going at 60, and I rarely let my speed fall to 0 unless I stop. Dive into a corner, roll on a handful, and hold on. I love that sensation!!! |

But it's true. How many of you enter a corner and stop? 0-60 times never made much sense to me. I'm far more concerned with 50-80 times. |

0-60 happens at every stop light or sign...but you're right, roll on times are more important once you're out past the city limits. BTW, bikes are much less expensive to farkle than spensy German cars. |
