With 5K miles on the clock I am noticing a high idle when I decelerate to a stop-around 2K rpm's. If I let the clutch out a little to load the engine the idle lowers to 1K. Any ideas how to fix?
I have the Race kit installed and the TPS was reset then- 2500 miles.
Thanks!

Sounds like you may have a vacumm leak. That's what I'd be checking before anything else.

Check your initial idle setting. If it goes even just a little too high it tends to make the idle "float" down. It should be at 1050-1150 RPM, but when mine gets right there it does the float thing. I set it where the dealer did for my TPS reset at about 1000 RPM.

I'm not sure what causes that condition, but on my former race cars the idle speed would reach into the beginning of the timing advance causing the idle to float or just kind hang there.

+1

If I set my idle 1050-1150 it will do the same thing. I backed off just a little to 950-1050 and no more idle hang.

Thanks guys- I'll check the idle adjustment first. it's always done it a little but it's gotten worse-or more noticeable.
