Picked up two nails in the rear tire. One split the tire and was a job to patch, so it looks like I am in the market for something better than the 616s. I searched the forums and heard good stuff about the syncs, but I was looking for something more aggressive. I run distanzias on my xr650 street tard and like them alot, but they do't come in a 180/55/17 like the Uly takes. Any suggestions on an agressive tire that comes in our size? |

Hi Doc, Nice looking tires. Have you had the opportunity to try them on gravel or packed dirt? How is the grip on wet pavement? I don't mind sliding a bit on dirt and gravel, and I don't get to any good curves till I ride north as all the roads are flat in Miami. |

I'm with Dr. Greg and Retired Cop. I've got Azaros on my Uly, as well. They're a very good rain tire. I like them. |

I like the Azaros as well. They have done everything I have asked without any surprises. Unfortunately, I am retarded and unable to ride the bike correctly since I am unable to get more than 3,000 miles out of any tire. I think I'll just by a gross of Tomahawks and be done with it. |

I saw a picture of someone with these Pirelli MT60s on their bike but the largest rear is a 160: http://www.us.pirelli.com/web/catalog/moto/moto_ca talogo_schedaDescription.page |

I ran Azaros on my '03 XB9S and while a great mileage tire did not inspire confidence in the corners especially if it is wet or damp. I went with Michelin Power Pilots and wow what a difference. Same great mileage, but boy what a difference in the tight stuff. |

3K and they're ready for replacement. I, like Ft_B, can't get more than 3K out of a rear. Power pilots did get me 3500 but the last 500 was touchy. |

Bigdaddy/Fat Bastard, You guys might have something in common that seems to be wearing your tires out prematurely. I wonder what it could be? |

I put the Pirelli MT60 on my Uly and LOVE them! Sure there not an exact size replacement, however they mounted up with no problem and now they ride GREAT!!! I used to think the Dunlop 616's were great on the road and did fine on dirt roads...until I put on the MT60's. WOW! Dirt roads are much, much more fun! To those that continue to say this bike is for tarmac only... |

Just turned 9000 miles on my Pilot roads. I can't beleive the mileage. I barlely squeaked 9000 out of a hard touring tire on my harleys. |

Actually meant Pilot Roads not Power Pilots, was getting 7,000 to 8,000 miles out of them and the grip was awesome. |

Frickin' horse jockeys! I take craps bigger than what some of you guys weigh. No wonder your tires never wear out. |

"I take craps bigger than what some of you guys weigh. " If I remember right, the one you "have on deck could choke a donkey!" I think you also "have bigger chunks of corn in your crap" than him. (Message edited by jmhinkle on November 09, 2006) |

We are both dashingly hot and desired by women? I'm checking with the wife to see if I can agree (we're in a Knoxville Hotel so it won't take long.) Okay, answer is back. "Yea, you certainly are! Now run across the parking lot and get me a Starbucks. G2 |

We are both dashingly hot and desired by women? Don't laugh. I had lunch with G2 a few months ago. I thought the waitress was going to give him a lap dance while she took his order. It would have been amusing had she not completly and totally ignored me. |

Conti Road Attacks here. I've got about 5000 miles on them and the rear looks like it'll go another 5000. Of course, with all the highway miles I do commuting to work it's gonna have a nice square profile when it's used up. The front? Still haven't completely worn the lettering off the tread yet. I got 5000 out of the stock 6i6 but I was way into the wear bars at that point. |

So, which brand of tire has the corn knobbies. Maybe the peanut knobbies are smoother on the assphalt! |

Doesn't matter, they all leave "skid marks". |
